About Me

My name is Rebecca and I am VAMPYRE BEACH. I am at best an amatuer in this music world. Like so many of you out there my own life began in chaos surrounded by mental illness and addiction. Pain became my best friend and inspiration for all I did and still do. So I began to write, paint and sing amongst myself. For around 3yrs I stayed in my apartment in carson City NV Just writing and painting ( of course ). Initially I started writing a book "The WEB I SPUN" which summed up a lot of my life at that time. Well like everything else in my life, I never finished it. And then an oportunity came along. To express all my pain and tragedy into music! What a miracle I have always been surrounded by bands and music in my life but I always seem to sit out side the box. So around 5yrs ago VAMPYRE BEACH WAS born. I turned my unfinished book THE WEB I SPUN into my first song, the production, mixing and vocals are not what they could be but hey it was the beginning. And all my lyrics are literal , exorcising pain and demons that will forever haunt me. I work on new music all the time however oportunity is just not as great as I need it to be for my creative and musical expressions. All I know is I wont stop now and hope to train my voice and music to be what I know it can be. I dedicate not just this website but all my songs to my son born July 9 1992 as Steven Axl Cogsdill. His name now is Steven ? Jones. Whereabouts somewhere in Texas. Everyday without him is like chewing on tinfoil every second of my days. DEATH

My new song is "Why Can't I"....I wrote it for my mother who suddenly past away this last Jan.22nd. The pressure for the song to be perfect overwhelmed me. I wonder if any other musicians can relate?...

Music is a volumous expression of your inner soul. And those around you must support it! And somtimes expression is a difficult thing..I just wish my self expression moved much quicker...

Nothing Matters
