About Me

I'm a film student in Manchester.I USED to live in Scotland. In Wigtown. It sucked on every level possible. I still go back there on holidays and it is not as bad as it was cos I know I can get away from it now.I do lots of stuff because I am easily distracted and because I'm a show-off and because I have the attention span of a gnat. Or some other bug if you like.My present aim is to get good at script-writing and make kick-ass (or prod-buttock) programs for the BBC. And then maybe some for people who might pay me something.I draw bad cartoons, I love sci-fi and adventure stuff as well as comedies. I'm a bit nerdy sometimes... I can't sing and the only instrument I can play is the recorder. Woot! Plus I climb cliffs. Sensible ones, the ones that don't need ropes and pick-axes.I'm grouchy and a bit nasty and I don't smile much and I dance really embarrassingly badly (but still do it anyway!) and I have certain obsessive compulsive tendencies. That good enough for ya?Oh and Patrick Troughton is God. Don't argue.

I'd like to meet:

Greg Proops is my comedian of the moment. He rocks. There are plenty of other comedians I'd like to meet (or at least see live) including Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Billy Connolly, Eddie Izzard and Ross Noble. How come we have so many good comedians in the world and yet everything's going to hell? I dunno...Most of the other people I'd like to meet are dead. Except Paul McGann... but if I got near him there wouldn't be much left afterwards. Oh and Sam Troughton! With similar sentiments. And Gary Oldman, wow what an awesome actor. John Hurt too, Alan Rickman, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson... okay so there are quite a few living people I'd like to meet! I want to meet Christopher Doyle just to discuss how he manages such f*cking awesome cinematography... but I doubt anyone reading this will know who I'm on about.I do kinda also wanna meet most of the Hong Kong film industry while I'm at it. But since I don't speak Chinese in any form it would be a short and awkward meeting. :P
