Fallen Fortress

Fallen Fortress se inicia a finales del año 2003, cuando Diego Quiroz y Pablo Sánchez deciden formar una banda, a la cual se le integran Tomás Guerrero (Guitarra) y Vicente Flores (Exbatería). Juntos estos 4 integrantes comienzan a tocar y a formarse como banda, la cual se pasaría a llamar "Phantom of Darkness".
Al paso del tiempo Vicente Flores decide irse de la banda y es reemplazado por Daniel Delgado para empezar a tocar un nuevo estilo de música más bien influenciado por el Black Metal. La banda comenzó a tocar junta y a finales del año 2004 integran a Oscar Teare quien los ayudaría cantando con ellos. Junto a Oscar la banda se empieza a presentar en shows y comienza a ser más conocida en el ámbito nacional.
Al transcurrir el tiempo, ya al estar completa la formación, la banda comienza a darle un estilo más nórdico a su música, por lo que decide integrar a un tecladista, fue ahí cuando se unió Ignacio Cruz a la banda. Con el siguieron tocando hasta comienzos del 2005, cuando Ignacio deja la banda por motivos ajenos a ella, y deciden echar a Oscar, quedando como vocalista y primera guitarra Diego Quiroz en la banda, que en ese momento se pasa a llamar Zurk.
Luego de haber tocado en varias tocatas después de un año de trayectoria, la banda adquiere un cierto grado de madures y comienza a influenciarse por el Death Metal, sin dejar de lado el Black Metal. Fue ahí cuando la banda graba su primer demo, al que titulan "Earthly Purgatory", con el cual se fue dando a conocer con el nombre de Fallen Fortress.

Fallen Fortress initiated towards the end of 2003, when Diego Quiroz and Pablo Sánchez decided to form a band, to which they recruited Tomás Guerrero (Guitar) and Vicente Flores (Ex-drums). Together these 4 members began to play and formed as band, which became "Phantom of Darkness". As time passed Vicente Flores decided to leave the band and was replaced by Daniel Delgado to start a new style of music more well influenced by Black Metal.
The band began to touch meeting and to the ends of the year 2004 they recruited Oscar Teare who would help them with vocals. Next to Oscar the band began to play live shows leading them to better recognition in the local scene. As time elapsed, with the formation complete, the band began to show a northern style to its music, which led them to integrate a keyboard player, it was then when Ignacio Cruz joined the band.
With him they continued playing until early 2005, when Ignacio left the band for personal issues. The remaining members decided to also disband Oscar, leaving Diego Quiroz to sing and lead guitar, this became known as Zurk. After playing several live shows over the year, the band matured and would start to be influenced by Death Metal, without leaving to the side Black Metal. It was then when the band recorded their first demo, which would be titled "Earthly Purgatory" which began to be known as Fallen Fortress.
