QuadQuartet

QuadQuartet is a portuguese saxophone quartet, formed in mid 2004, with the purpose of playing good music, original or not for this ensemble, and to create the possibility of having new composers writing for them. There is a particular interest in the "cross-over" of many different musical languages. It has, since then, played in Portugal, Spain and Holland, and France. Quad's members are João Figueiredo on soprano sax, Fernando Ramos on alto sax, Henrique Portovedo on tenor sax and Romeu Costa on the baritone sax. Besides the artistical work they develop together, each one of them performs in other projects, as well as being active teachers in several schools and universities throughout the north of the country.www.quadquartet.com
