Kings of Queen

About Me

Kings of Queen is an exciting and powerful four-piece band which accurately recreates the phenomenon that was Queen.
The line-up is fronted by the very talented Dave Kinghorn whose brilliant vocals, stunning stage presence and natural flamboyance produce a superb visual act.

There is a wealth of talent within the band, including immaculate guitar solos and excellent vocal harmonies. They are visually entertaining, play sensational music and give a high-energy, non-stop performance that grabs the audience at the outset and keeps them spellbound from the first to the last note.
Kings of Queen authentically create a show that is undoubtedly Queen at their best and the audience is actively encouraged to participate in their shows. All the elements that made Queen what they were live, are here.
The whole show is full of power, passion and energy. Performed with top quality sound and lighting systems, this is a fantastic opportunity to hear Queen’s chart toppers from the power rock songs to the ballads which kept Queen at the top for more than twenty years.
A spectacular show not to be missed

Kings of Queen is the best live tribute to Queen that you will ever see or hear.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.kingsofqueen.com
Band Members: Dave Kinghorn - Vocals:

Dave is a trained singer who is able to recreate Freddie Mercury's style, sound and phrasing. Through his professionalism and experience with rock bands and live audiences, coupled with his knowledge of Freddie's style and mannerisms, Dave is able to accurately represent Queen's late, great frontman.

Paul Wilson - Lead Guitar and Backing Vocals:

Paul has studied Brian May's sound and style of playing, as well as authentically reproducing his solos, to such an extent that members of the audience regularly say, after a Kings of Queen show, that if they had closed there eyes they could have easily believed it was Brian May actually playing on stage.

Justin Edley - Drums:

Justin is a Roger Taylor fan through and through, not only able to recreate Roger’s style and sound on the kit but also his falsetto backing vocals. A band’s drummer is always one of its most important members since the ‘feel’ from the kit affects everybody, the rest of the band and audience alike. When you hear Kings of Queen you’ll know what we mean, not only is the show a fantastic representation of a Queen concert but it feels good too, thanks to Justin!

David Clements - Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals:

Dave (Clem) Clements is an excellent all round musician and vocalist and has been playing bass guitar for over 20 years. His considerable experience includes 3 years with "To the Fountain" (record deal in The Netherlands), several years as a resident musician at both Butlin's and Haven Holiday Parks, and performances with both Lulu and Jimmy Somerville. Based in York, Clem also works as a studio producer/engineer and teaches music. Clem's tight bass playing and vocal harmony work has been a great boost to the band's sound.
