Im a man who thought he had it all figured out, until he turned 30. I began to re-live areas of my life. This is when I realized what really is important to me. I remember things like being 7 years old sitting in a bar watching my dad sing Elvis. At the time I was probably like any other kid, bored and wondering when we were going home. For some reason this is now one of my greatest memories. He could really bring a crowd and his powerful voice would send chills through you. He recently visited me about a year ago. I hadnt heard him sing for atleast 7 or 8 years, however when he came down I got him to sing on stage at a club, OK- heres my dad, 53 years old and a little heavier, on stage, singing his heart out and yes! he still has the elvis hips! (Im pretty sure this is why I have a passion for dancing). I sarted feeling a little embarrased, but very quickly began to feel like that 7 year old boy all over again. Never had I felt so much emotion in my life. I was proud of my dad, and began to remember how much he has done for me. I can now say I know whats more important to me, thats my family, Ive been away from home for almost 10 years trying to be someone others wanted me to be, but not really finding it. I have found it and its time for me to start my life over with my family and God willing begin my own family.elvis presley and lisa marie
