About Me

Breaking news! The policy of he who holds this profile has been changed to deny ALL unknown friend requests that do not have a nice, coherent message preceding them!CG Artist and Animator, geek, lunatic, possibly a robot, possibly eating a sandwich, likely wearing pants. Somewhat shy or reserved, studious, user of pointlessly complicated words and phrases, possessor of much trivial knowledge. Trying to balance my ideas of Christianity (Interpretive and Biblical, Rather than Fundamentalist and Traditional), with my wacky post-postmodernist, vague, incomplete view of the world around me, and the people in it. It seems to all boil down to concepts like: being nice, honesty, humility, and other crap like that.Learn more through the magic of digital photography, at this location:http://www.flickr.com/photos/pe_tor/Also, KITTIES!!! WOOO!!!

My Interests

Computers, Cooking, Christianity, Cars, Clouds, Convective outlooks, Cats, Craziness...uh...Alliteration, Alientation, technology in general, being SMRT, words like sandwich and pants, Film, Movies, Media, Japan, being a bit different, being nice, being boring, elaborate plans to build giant tools of destruction or other such devices that I am too lazy to actually follow through with, Art, Electrionic music, BEER! (Local/Regional Brewers, Not Bud/Miller), the infinite possibilities of bending the English language around for humourous purposes, reading and exercising and doing other "good" things when I have the time, wasting countless hours fooling around on the stupid internet!

I'd like to meet:

Robotic technicians, squirrels, people who make delicious food, lazer beams, sythesizers, synthesizees, people with jet packs, beer snobs, Other robots, those who can drive a manual transmission, that cat that lives outside the lunchroom that attacks and kills birds and looks into our eyes as if we are next. Also, lets quit with the friend requests without a message first, that's cheesy and you know it. Also, if you're in the Pron business and are using myspace in a way that violates the user agreement, I will report you, I've done it before, and I'm sure I'll do it again! We all have a right to be here, as long as we play by some basic, simple rules!

Music:

Electrionic music that is not trance (Aphex, Squarepusher, Autechre, Chris Clark, Wisp, 45441, Keith Blackwell) Spacey rock (like old starflyer or sigur ross or whatever) Orchestral music (including Nubuo Uematsu and other videogame music) Video Game music Anything that's well done, which sometimes even includes hip hop and country, but not too often for my tastes.

Movies:

Lots of them, movies known for their directors as much as actors. Dr. Strangelove, Fight Club, Amelie, Royal Tenembaums, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donnie Darko, Big Lebowski, Lord of the Rings, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, Spirited Away, too many others to list or remember off hand...

Television:

Good Eats, Mythbusters, Top Gear, Adult Swim, science shows, history shows, dirty jobs, Futurama, Simpsons, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Ghost in the Shell and other "Good" anime, WRC races (not that they're on tv). TV is at least 90% evil, I can feel it's ill will radiating out even now...

Books:

Public Schools promptly convinced me that reading is dumb and I shouldn't do it by telling me it's cool and I should do it. I've overcome this confusion now, and my very short list of enjoyed books includes, Lord of the Rings, 1984, Catcher in the Rye (totally need to re-read), To Kill a Mockingbird (totally need to re-read also), The Bible (need to re-read a few more times, it's rather dense) Stuff I want to read, would be found from such authors as William Gibson, Isaac Asimov, and I forget who else...

Heroes:

He who is first will be last, he who is last will be first.

Regarding Spammers

Recently I've been getting messages from bogus profiles on this site, and friendster, named carrie. Carrie claims to be a 20-something chick looking for some fun. I replied to the e...
