Matija was born in 1982. When he was 8 he began to play the accordion and got 6 years of classical music education. He finished the music school in 1996. The next year he put the accordion in a corner and began to play the electric guitar in his older brother’s punk/hc/crust band called “Excreta”. Together they performed at quite a lot of gigs and festivals in Slovenia and abroad. In 2000 his older brother brought home a pair of Technics and a mixer. Immediatelly, he fell in love with spinning techno records. Soon after he learned the technique he bought a third turntable and in 2003 was allready smoothly cueing three records at a time. On the occasion he had he even cued four records at a time. Soon mixing alone was not enough and the next challenge was to begin producing some of his own grooves. As time passed he developed his skills and his musical preferences kept changing. From an initial hard techno headbanger he turned into a true minimal-techno and electro-house sound maniac. At the moment he is studying Musicology at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. His goal is to graduate on the subject of electronic music and to become better known as a DJ and producer.
