AS CHAMPIONED BY BRUCE DICKENSON ON BBC RADIO 6
Rising from the starry eyed ruins of semi-successful Northumbrian alt-rock act Lovemat, ‘A Ghost in the Machine’ is evolution in motion; the tadpole that mutated into the coiled snake, ready to spring into action at any given moment.
Having milked the sour teat of the UK unsigned circuit for too many, tedious years, releasing numerous singles and an album; the once fresh faced northern upstarts had become cynical and contemptuous, unsatisfied with overrated record deals and cash quick promoters.
Working with legendary metal producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Helloween), in March 2007, the band have discovered a new found spirit buried deep beneath their dead beat exterior; a spirit that screams equal parts bloodshed, blitz and beauteous melody.
With the support of the heavyweight producer Chris Tsangarides as well as Iron Maiden’s very own Bruce Dickenson and a host of die hard fans baying for blood, this band is born again and full of the drive, ambition and dreams that fuelled the fire right from the start. The free thinking, hard rocking, foot tapping, head banging, soul returns in the shape of ‘A Ghost in the Machine.’
