The way it all began...Curvature began to take shape early January 2007. After watching his old Landfill band members playing in their new bands, Dave felt the itch to play again. Dave had known Ponce for a few years and they had talked about jamming before, but nothing came about until that day at Cherry St. Guitar. Ponce is recognizable from the area for being a jam session musican. He also writes and records with former members of Solomon Sage along with a talented songwriter named Moe (www.myspace.com/theshed11111). When the original drummer was not working, Ponce mentioned a drummer he had played with in P3 (Pick, Ponce, Pendry). With influences like John Bonham and Neil Peart, Josh is the driving force of Curvature. Josh is best known for the time he spent with Galesburg classic rockers Iron Horse. B.J. may be newer to the local scene, but he is making up for lost time with his tailor-made voice. B.J. adds a modern sound to Curvature's classic vibe. Ian on Lead guitar and vocals has taken the band to a new level. Ian is also the voice and guitar for Galesburg jam masters, Jones, Johnson, Hawkins. Each member brings a different influence and style to the band. Near the end of 2008 Dave parted ways with Curvature to persue another project and the band wishes him the best of luck. Curvature lives on! With influences that range from classic rock, punk, and blues. The band has a heavy classic groove, yet with a modern feel. The groove will keep the girls dancing all night and the guys rocking...Welcome to the new face of rock 'n' roll.
