Denmark is undergoing – and has so for a long period of time – excessive “normalisation†in all cultural areas at all levels. In these days we experience the riots in connection to Ungdomshuset, but only 6 months ago it was the Mohammed drawings which made headlines all over the world. Both cases offspring from intolerance and an ever growing demand from the surrounding society, that minorities must adapt to the given society.
Denmark and the world in general needs existences that fall out of category with the prescribed society and we need cultural diversity in order to mentally and culturally expand. When these subcultures (and any subcultures) are suppressed, they will naturally react.
Hereby not saying that we approve of Ahmed Akkari’s tour in the Middle east nor do we agree to the recent riots at Nørrebro, but it is important not to be bedazzled by the media’s interpretation of these matters.
It is not necessary the eternal truth.
We are human beings, and are as so - equipped with a mind of our own and we are not dumb sheep. We have the capability and the right to be critical towards our sources. We hereby venture to assert, that the press, parts of the policeforce and the politicians are quite eager to paint an undifferentiated picture these days. And often a pessimistic picture too.
