About Me

Mom of Adrienne and Tyler, mom-in-law of George and Abby, "honey" to three beautiful little girls: Jade 6, Jaimee 5, Jordin 3, and pne little man, Robert, 6 months; significant other, soul mate, and since April 8, spouse of Nicol (thank you, Canada!), and proud liberal!
I love East Indian Food, my favorite is from Taj Mahal in Calgary, sushi (white tuna is my fave), Thai Food, especially from Lemongrass in Fairbanks, Alaska, which has the best Pad Thai in the world, Vietnamese Food, and cooking outside on my grill during the summer (or the winter...I don't mind grilling in the snow, either).
I love living in Colorado(although I'm not there much), hearing the river run at night, and seeing the millions and millions of stars in the sky.
I like funny stuff and funny people, people who love life and get the most out of it, and intelligent people! Dumb people irritate me. Since when is being stupid attractive???? I love the outdoors, being in the sunshine and getting a tan!
My chinese horoscope sign is a Water Tiger, zodiac Pisces. Blue is my favorite color, and I love the smell of patchouli, sandalwood, nag champa, and pinion. When I retire, I would like to sell my own art, have a villa in Italy, and build a strawbale house...maybe in Santa Fe. My new favorite thing to do is go on wine-tasting tours!
I am enjoying being in my 40's...halfway through, it has been a great decade. I am far more confident and more open minded than I was in my "younger/impressionable" years. I am less judgemental and prejudice of people, and their customs/beliefs/skin color/sexual preference. I believe that the more you travel and see other places and step out of your little corner of the world, the more you realize that people are all the same...we all want the same thing out of life, and every citizen should be entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, the way the Constitution and founding fathers intended.
I don't like organized religion or church...it divides families and friends from each other. God dwells in my heart, not in a building.
I like to play the piano, and write my own music, although I don't get to play as often as I would like. I think everyone should play some kind of instrument, just for the confidence it gives.
I travel approximately 200 days of the year (maybe more). I've been to every state except for Wisconsin, the Dakotas, and the very eastern coast. My favorite place to visit is Alaska. I really, really don't like California or Detroit. The nicest people are in Alaska, and Oklahoma City; the rudest and least likeable in Detroit; the "fakest" in the South, mostly North Carolina. The most beautiful place is relative...Seattle, Victoria BC, and Anchorage for the mountains and water...New Mexico for the desert...Hawaii needs no description. Nevada is, without doubt, the least attractive place I have been, although Utah is running a really close second.
The best concerts I've ever been to would be Jann Arden, Melissa Etheridge, Alanis Morrisette, Collective Soul, Heart, and Counting Crows/Live. And, of course, Carrot Top...he is insanely funny, but I don't think that would be considered a concert.I love the Cirque du Soleil shows. If you're ever in Vegas, or if one is playing in your town, you should definitely attend! They're magnificent!!!
I border on hate for most Republicans and "conservatives" (politicians, just to clarify). They are mean, nasty, self centered, selfish, greedy, compassionless authoritarians, whose beliefs are bad for the world, and for people in general. They would keep our nation in the dark ages if they could. Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity are asses.
I don't like "cookie cutter" mentalities...I like that fact that we are all different. That's the way we should be!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The President=elect of the United States, Barack Obama, bay-bee!!! It will be refreshing to have a president with an IQ over 50, one who can construct an entire sentence that makes sense.
Bill Clinton...our country was in such great shape while he was president, in spite of the Republicans and his sexual escapades.
Katherine Hepburn...she was a strong, independent woman, ahead of her time.
Ellen DeGeneres...too funny!
Leonardo da Vinci: he was a troublemaker for his day, and so creative/intelligent...a definite out of the box thinker.
Albert Einstein...Andy Warhol, just to know what made him tick; Ansel Adams, because his photography is so beautiful.
