THE PROLIFIC PLAYERS BAND is an ensemble of some of Detroit's best talent. The versatile band performs many genre' of music from the past four decades as well as current popular songs. The common theme of the band is passion; passion for music and live performance!
J.B.
The band was founded by JOSEPH(J.B.) BARBER who is also the band's primary male lead vocalist, sound engineer, and business manager. J.B. is broad in his musical taste and has a relentless attention to detail approach to sound. His motto is "Strive for perfection or at the very least try to exceed their expectations!"
As a vocalist J.B. utilizes a natural baritone voice with tenor range as well as a falsetto. J.B. says "music is my sanctuary, it is as much a part of me as any organ in my body. In fact music is a part of my soul/spirit and will live within me forever!"
