About Me

My music career began when I was in the 6th grade and I was gifted my very first drum set from my mom for Christmas. It was the ultimate beginner, a CB-700 5 piece complete with a token chrome snare that cannot ever quite be tuned right, even with a really expensive head on it. For most of you, these details may pass un-noticed, but for my fellow drummers out there, you know when you hear this brand name the very meaning of “let’s see if he really likes this instrument before we buy him anything too expensive.” Soon after I moved into TAMA and I was playing with friends in serious bands as early as the 8th grade. By senior year of Highschool, I was drumming for a fledgling rock band named Psilocybin and our claim to fame came when we rocked at a club called “the Strand” in Hollywood Riviera, which is the fancy name for the spot in between Torrance, CA and Palos Verdes, CA. The club meant nothing, the manager was a jerk, the bouncers were assholes and it closed down about a year after, but Psilocybin played with Sublime that night, and being on the bill with a band that was as influential on the scene as Sublimehad been was enough to keep me pushing to achieve my own dreams in music.
I currently play drums for many projects, some of which can be found right here on MySpace. Please feel free to check them out. This way we can avoid every musicians least favorite question: what kind of music do you play? At the moment I am using a DW Maple Custom and a Ludwig snare for live shows, but I am in the market for some good recording snare drums. If you have any hot tips for me besides the usual channels, feel free to drop me a line. The bands I play with are listed by url below:

I am also in the process of writing and recording some of my own songs and I may put some previews of these up here as I complete them. Some may appear as new songs with the groups I play with, and some may be available for purchase by artists whom I decide could do them more justice that I could. Terms and conditions of song acquisition from my catalog will be decided on as artist to artist basis. As a singer I write all my own lyrics and now have a thick book of pages. I like Shure SM58 beta microphones for live performance and whatever the engineers like for recording. That seems to change constantly anyway. My greatest accomplishment as a vocalist came when my band Freakcircle landed a demo deal with Atlantic Records in 2005 via the Liason to Stone Temple Pilots, Tom Carolan. I was lucky enough to work with talented producer Mudrock (also did rock act Godsmack) at Track Records in North Hollywood. The board there is longer than my bedroom, something I will never forget!
I hope to use this page as a soundboard for everything that occurs in my journey as a musician. I hope everyone who comes to this page enjoys the pics, videos, blogs and music that will be making its appearance here. It is a work in progress, so please bear with me during the dry spells when not much has changed. I am currently promoting my new project as a singer, "The Human Factor" and our record "The Mainstream is Yesterday," which will be up on Myspace, Facebook, and Itunes very shortly! As always I am also pushing the self titled Flowbis EP and the Killem Gillem record "End of the World" on Itunes.com and right here on myspace with my bands Flowbis and Killem Gillem under the in house production company, Voze Music. You can get more info on Voze from its Myspace site, which is currently showcasing all of it's affiliated bands talents, including the first single from The Human Factor titled, "Nice To Meet You."
