spec.dev pronounced spec-dot-dev and short for spectral development (formerly Databasis Basics) is the collaborative effort of Jason Henry (aka Halfadder) and Jeremy Bible, the duo behind the eclectic Ohio based international leftfieldist artist collective and recording label Experimedia Communications. The duo’s undefinable and constantly evolving sound pulls from their diverse influences of techno, electro, idm, experimental, dub-step, ambient, glitch, dnb, jazz, noise, and hip-hop to explore uncharted territory. Rumbling bass, breakneck beats, glitchy rhythms, dissonant atmospherics, incoherent voices, dubbed out echos, and field recorded environments are just a few of the characteristics that are likely to shine through during the duo’s live performances. With every liveset unique however, one can never know what to expect next from the rebellious electronic duo. If you're looking to treat your ears to new evolutionary sounds then keep an ear on spec.dev.

Ohio based collective, Experimedia, known for its diverse net-label catalog, events, and Molotov Records vinyl imprint, expands its repertoire by introducing its hard-copy cd catalog with its first release limited and numbered to 350. After three years in the making, Jeremy Bible's most recent effort guides the listener through a seamless and diverse spectrum of deeply processed electronic, acoustic, and found sounds. Dissonant atmospheres are complimented by layered field recordings with touches of electro/hip-hop/industrial influenced beats and bass throughout. This album takes the listener through feelings of melancholy and distance and is best experienced seamlessly beginning to end.
