Hudson Valley-based Drummer for PHERALYNX, formed in 2008. During much of 2008, I met (and reconnected with) some kick-ass musicians who have turned out to be some very cool people in my book. I'm stoked about what lays ahead in the coming months in 2009.
About Pheralynx: The band is going strong, evolving from the spring of 2008, featuring Rob Burton on guitar, Andrew Strohman on bass and Debb Bickford as our vocalist/lyricist. We are currently in the process of writing new, original material for our second album and we're also in the process of wraping up the first album, Mental Paradox, to prepare for distribution in the fall of 2009. Check my band out at: www.Myspace.com/Pheralynx.
On the side, I'm always looking to hook up with other musicians to jam informally just for the pure enjoyment of it. If only I had more free time....
In September 2008, I began working on a side project with Iron Cobra on their cover album, of which all proceeds will go to benefit our local Humane Society. I'm really stoked to be a part of this great cause and working with such great musicians.
It was really cool of Iron Cobra to select me to be the drummer for the covers to Barracuda (Heart) and Piece of Your Action, (Motley Crue). Better yet, they've asked me to stay on board to possibly drum some more future covers with them to further the charitable cause.
About the Songs:
"Mental Paradox", "The Deceived", "Within The Apiary" and "Explorer" were completed between October 2008 and present 2009 with my current band Pheralynx, engineered by Rob Burton. We're presently working on recording more of our original material and will post more as soon as completion ends.
During 1999, I recorded drum tracks at Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY for my former band, MAJEST,Y which featured Vince Jones (vocals), Tom Spadafora (guitars), Chris Spadafora (bass) and myself on the drums. I have since temporarily removed those debut album tracks from my player to make way for the newest recordings with Pheralynx.
"Fiend", was recorded in Rockland Studios, Orangeburg NY, November 2006. BUMP was the name of the band which I had formed with two long- time musician friends, Tom Golden - R.I.P. Brother, 2008- (guitars), Eddie Melendez (bass) and my wife, Deborah (vocals & lyric compositions). "Waterfall"was taken off the playlist, but was an instrumental compilation that I created also with Tom and Eddie back in early 2007.
From listening to the various genres, it is evident that I enjoy playing a variety of different styles, but Metal's where its at. MYFLYPROFILE.NET
