Hey, my name is Joe Brunning and I'm also known as DJ Funk when I'm playing records or making music!I've been DJing for about 8 years now perfecting my own unique style of mixing and scratching. I play a mixture of dance music from deep house to my main love of pumping tribal techno.In 2001 I won the first ever "Young UK DMC DJ" of the year comp, beatng over 800 other DJ's from around the country. This was judged by none other than Carl Cox who was impressed by my stand out energy and technical abilities.Back then I was only 16 and since then I have gone on to win many other DJ comps at nights in London such as Trevor Rockcliffes, "Stomp" at Turnmills.For me DJing is an art form and I really just want to continue to play the music I love to as many people as possible and also to keep producing deep, funky music for the dance floor!
