About Me

I was born in a sunny day of May 1973, right around the time Genesis, Zappa, Gentle Giant, and many other cool band were releasing some pretty incredible albums. Having spent my childhood in the happy countryside of Tetti Sapini, as you can imagine NOT the center of the Musical Universe, I had to come up with ways to reach downtown Torino to get my hands on the above-mentioned albums and many, many more. Being, back in the day, a huge soccer fan (a completely withdrawn interest nowadays), my father used to sit me in front of the TV to watch Sunday night football programs, the theme of them being Pink Floyd's “One Of These Days”. The virus caught me and never went away. I started fooling around with my first guitar back in '85, playing along to The Beatles albums, until one day, (August 17th 1990 for the record) I came across Mahavishnu Orchestra's “Best Of” and lost my head (and fingers) on it. Right around the time my high school friends were into Technotronics, New Kids On The Block, terrible Italian pop and the like, I was writing names like Return To Forever, Zappa, Mingus and Led Zeppelin on my school backpack. Since then, I have been member of a hugely vaste number of musical outfits, ranging from the classic cover band to groups performing original compositions. Along the way I had the luck to play with Clive Bunker (the original, legendary Jethro Tull drummer), drum set virtuoso Marco Minnemann and national pop stars Tribà and Gabry Ponte. Currently I play guitar with the most respected and well-known Police/Sting tribute band, called Ghost In The Machine, with whom I performed around 800 gigs all over Italy and Europe so far. I'm also constantly working on my own music (which you'll ear soon) and teaching in various schools around Torino. The Videos: CANI NERI - LED ZEPPELIN TRIBUTE BANDMARCO MINNEMANN - Drums ALDO GARRONE - Vocals GIORGIO GUARISE - Guitar left CHRISTIAN GAZZETTA - Guitar right FULVIO BOSIO - BassBLACK DOG (Led Zeppelin) - CANI NERI & MARCO MINNEMANNWE'RE GONNA GROOVE (Led Zeppelin) - CANI NERI & MARCO MINNEMANNTHE WANTON SONG (Led Zeppelin) - CANI NERI & MARCO MINNEMANNACHILLE'S LAST STAND (Led Zeppelin) - CANI NERI & MARCO MINNEMANN
