The self-made artist was born September 25,1989 on the east side of Detroit off a street known as 7 mile. A.1 is known for writing real life stories throughout his music and displays a high potential on every beat. Last summer of 2007 the artist released his first mix tape called Million Dollar Dreams Of A.1 throughout Detroit but didn't do as well as he wanted.The young artist says "yes its true I didn't like the first mix tape I rushed through it I was so eager to put it out in the streets that I didn't really sit back and put my heart into every beat, I just wanted to tell the truth about my life and what I have seen rather than actually making hits and that's what i did."The self made artist displays a high ability to reach others through his music with hits from the first mix tape like "My Struggle". The artist is classified as a "real person who writes true facts on every beat. A.1 puts his pain in his music and hopes to reach through others who feel the same way or have been through the same things throughout life.A.1 says " I cant write something that I haven't seen or been through that's not what I was taught to do growing up with my mother who is the strongest person I know I look up to her in many ways and growing up she never spoiled me like a girl she was hard on me all the time since my father wasn't around because of him being in and out of jail and always in the streets it separated them but in many ways Im like my father and still in many ways Im like my mother but at the end of the day my whole family is real."Today A.1 is working on the highly anticipated mix tape "STAR BORN" which displays more about him and why he should be in the industry right now. With each song the artist seems to continue bringing music that fans love to hear. The artist also has a video coming up in mid June - July featuring Doe Boi a.k.a D-90 which is very expected from myspace viewers.A.1 says " what Im doing with this mix tape is basically bringing heat on every hot beat in the industry Im going to show my fans and the streets that I can go hard on some of the hottest beats as well. Im bringing a very high swag with me but Im going to keep it real. I do this for my family who has put me as the leader at the age of 17 my family believes that I am the golden child and is the chosen one to make something happen for them.
