MUSIC
I am always looking out for new sounds and through this site I hope to discover and explore new artists and new music. Where possible I also hope I can assist in promoting this by using the flash mp3 player as a tool to play my favourite tracks. The intention is provide further exposure for artists, particularly those expressing a new vibe and looking for some recognition.
I have a pretty eclectic taste ranging from classical to comtemporary pop, however I'm currently into cool, bassy, electronic dance and jazz-fused chillout. This includes listening to the likes of Groove Armada, Massive Attack, Faithless (esp. 'No Roots' & 'To All The New Arrivals'), latter Everything But The Girl ('Walking Wounded', 'Temperamental', 'Adapt Or Die - Ten Years of Remixes') and Tracey Thorn's new album 'Out of the Woods' - including some great remixes found on the singles.
PHOTO GALLERY
I have a keen interest in photography, especially landscapes, sky-scapes and seascapes and also capturing shots of nature and wildlife. I particularly enjoy the concept of 'perspective' and I have been experimenting with close-up shots and trying to capture views from the ground up. These are taken either digitally or on film, but the majority of the work is now digital as the image quality has improved dramatically. Apart from enlarging and cropping, I avoid any post-production on the pics - I let the beauty and artistic merit of the subject speak for itself. What you see, is how it was. I've included a few close-ups here...

ART GALLERY
When the mood takes, I also enjoy pencil drawing and painting, particularly animal portraits, many of which I have done simply for pleasure. However, I have also done a few commissions in the past through selling prints on eBay. Pencil is my favourite medium and love the depth and intensity that, I think, can only be achieved though the black and white pencil image. Colour seems to take away some of the focus on texture and therefore that depth. Having said that, I have worked with acrylics in the past too and enjoy the versatility of the medium.
