The Fear

About Me

The latest in hard rock technology, The Fear has been unleashed upon the world and the world has replied: "This is some cool shit." Take the searing dual guitar attack of the Cantfell twins, the grooving bass lines of Woody, add the soaring vocals of Josh Edmonds and top it all off with the stabbing drum assault of Vic Canales to hold it all together and you get a unit with some seriously heavy tunes that maintain a solid sense of melody.
The story behind The Fear is exactly as frightening as you would assume it to be. In the 80's a young boy named Kyle Jason Cantfell wandered aimlessly into the Yucca Flats while it was still irradiated. One boy went in, but 2 identical looking fellows came out -- with guitars!!! Instantly the 2 began playing together seamlessly, blowing world renowned scientists away with their technical skill and songwriting ability.
Meanwhile, in the jungles of Columbia, Vic Canales had just won a war, conquering and maintaining control of the Columbian Cocaine trade. Once behind a drum kit, he fell in love with the instrument and swore off the cocaine trade forever, selling his empire to the highest bidder, a struggling scientist who'd been observing the Cantfell Twins. He soon traded them to Vic for his millions, thus giving the 3 the means to start jamming.
Around this same time, there were reports of rumbling bass grooves playing through the forests of central Canada, chiefly heard around camp sites. The bass lines rumbled through the forests mysteriously. The wandering hairy bassist remained elusive until word of the nuclear Cantfell twins spread. One day, he emerged from the woods to a family of unsuspecting campers, terrifying them. "Be calm, I come in peace!" he said, which instantly calmed the family down. "Who are you?" They asked. "I...am Woody" he replied and played the grooviest bass line ears had yet heard to emphasize the point. "Take me to the Cantfell twins."
The 4 continued playing together for another 3 years, perfecting their craft as one superhuman unit. However, complications resulted from Vic and Woody jamming with Jason and Kyle, giving them cancer. Not only that, the band still had no lead singer. One day Josh Edmonds was playing poker with his best friends, Jesus, Satan and Zombie Hitler. When God showed up and asked Jesus if he would be the lead singer in this fresh new band he'd been listening to, he said he couldn't, so Josh filled in instead. Shortly afterward he got the password for the band's myspace page and fucked around with the band bio making up bullshit stories about everyone to make this band sound awesome.
