About Me

I try not live life in too much of a routine. I can't stand inconsiderate, unreasonable, impatient people. I don't quite handle stress & disappointment that well. I think too much. I have a thirst for knowledge and always wish I was smarter. I'm a dreamer. I admire/appreciate arts & beauty, especially in nature & the sky.
I am fortunate to have a lot of great great friends. My best friend Larry lives in the city but we still instant message for every little thing. My brother Lee is like "the guy on the couch". Ken is like the older brother I never had, who I also sometimes feel I have to act like a big brother to. Giselle's still local (when she's not out of the country) and now Staci too! Geno 's back in the neighborhood, with a PhD (smartest mofo I know). Shawn and his family are not too far away either. The rest are pretty much scattered all over the country: Justin in Indiana, Todd in Hawaii, BJ in San Diego, And I'm so glad that Seth and I are starting to hang out more often, again.
As much as I love to stay home, I'm always looking for inexpensive ways to get out and experience life. I love to travel, especially to places filled with history.
Aside from the list below, I've been lucky enough to travel back to my birthplace of Toronto, Canada and on family vacations to Mexico (once to Tiajuana, once to Cozumel). My exciting travels have been to Poland & Israel (on the March of the Living), Spain (Madrid, Sevilla and Marbella), Italy (Florence - for 2 months, Rome - 3x, Assissi, Perguia, Arezzo, Venice, Capri, Pistoia, Pisa, Cinqueterra - the most amazing hike I've ever taken), Greece (Athens and Santantorini), France (Nice and Paris), Switzerland (Interlaken), Germany (Munich, Dresdin and Leipzig), Czech Republic (Prague), Netherlands (Amsterdam), Belgium (Brugge, Antwerp and Brussels), Ireland (Galway, Kilkenny and Dublin) and the Philippines (Manila).
I started my own business a few years back, JasonHunter Design, LLC on the web or visit my MySpace page, http://myspace.com/jasonhunterdesign and view some of my most recent work.
I coach gymnastics for cheerleaders (Go St. John Villa Bears !!!) and have been a cheerleader myself for over 14 years now. Most of the pictures are from cities around the world that I was lucky enough to travel to by way of the NBA. When I was in college, the NBA started an interactive talent squad called the Fan Patrol and paid for us to travel to cheer at various high profile games. When I'm lucky enough to be asked, I am still involved in this and hope to never have to give it up. Some of the places I've gotten to go because of that job:
1999 - Hall of Fame Game, Springfield, Mass.
1999 - McDonald’s Championship at the Fila Forum in Milan, Italy
1999 - Exhibition Game in Mexico City, Mexico
1999 - NBA Japan Games at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan
2000 - NBA All Star Game, San Francisco (Oakland)
2001 - NBA All Star Game, Washington DC
2002 - WNBA All Star Game, Orlando
2002 - NBA All Star Game, Philadelphia
2002 - WNBA All Star Game, Washington DC
2003 - WNBA All Star Game, New York City
2003 - NBA Europe Games at the Bercy Arena in Paris, France
2003 - Exhibition Game at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, Spain
2004 - China Games at Shanghai Stadium, Shanghai, China
2004 - NBA China Games at Capital Stadium, Beijing, China
2005 - NBA All Star Game, Denver
2005 - WNBA All Star Game, Connecticut
2006 - NBA All Star Game, Houston
2006 - WNBA All Star Game, New York
2006 - USAB in Guangzou, China and Seoul, Korea
2006 - NBA Europe Games in Barcelona, Spain, Paris, France, Rome, Italy and Cologne, Germany

Here are some other pictures from the trips
I love to talk about things that matter in life, like philosophy and history. I am interested in all religions and cultures and always keep an open mind towards peoples' differences.
I try to practice yoga on a regular basis but have a hard time finding the time in my schedule.

My Interests

Everything interests me. The things I cared enough to learn more about: cheerleading, art, music, and the internet...

I'd like to meet:

People that share my interest in life. People that know how to make the best out of every situation. People who need websites, or people who know people who need websites.

Music:

..I listen to almost anything. The "almost" part would have to be rap and hard metal. I especially like to listen to Funk, but also like Rock, Jazz & Blues. And recently, I've gotten into the more typical radio music. And there's still a part of me that misses those nights (and sometimes days) at that clubs, so I should include Electronica in the list too.

Movies:

..I like movies with good storyline and I appreciate cinematography. My favorite movies are those that are mind boggling and original. I'm a sap for love movies but more than anything, I appreciate movies that leave an impact on myself or my life.

Some all time favorites include:
40 Year Old Virgin
Amelie
American Beauty
Anchorman
Blazing Saddles
Bottle Rocket
Dazed and Confused
Dead Man on Campus
Eurotrip
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Garden State
The Goonies
Half Baked
Love Actually
Kung Pow
The Matrix
Napoleon Dynamite
Momento
Moulin Rouge
Office Space
Old School
Road Trip
Serendipity
Sliding Doors
Spaceballs
Vanilla Sky
The Wedding Crashers

Television:

Family Guy (FOX/Comedy Central). Sopranos (HBO). Weeds (Showtime)...

Books:

..The books that I give credit to for developing the person I am are Sidhartha, On The Road, The Art of Motorcycle Maintainence, Brave New World, and The Celestine Prophecy. Then I went through a long period of time where I didn't like to read at all, that was called college.

Then I was recommended Rich Dad, Poor Dad. From that book I read Cashflow Quadrant, One Minute Millionaire, The Richest Man of Babylon, How to Win Friends and Influence People, The Ultimate Secret to Getting Everything You Want, and Think and Grow Rich.

Other books I've enjoyed were The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Who Moved my Cheese?, The Present, The Fred Factor, and Mind Gym. Another book I really loved was The DaVinci Code.

Right now I have a stack of books on my nightstand but the one I'm currently reading (that keeps me up all night) is a biography of one of my all time favorite people, Bob Dylan, called Chronicles.

Heroes:

..My Uncle David. Not only does he always have great answers to all my life's questions, but he's also dedicated his career to putting bad people in jail (District Attourney). To get an idea of what I'm talking about, read this article.

My dad. Although my dad was not a big part of my life as a child, since he has come back into my life 15 years ago, I have watched him create an empire of a business out of virtually nothing. I don't know if it's a common thing for a son to say... but I am proud of him.
