Chad Montana!
A Native of Dunedin, Florida, born July 1973. He entered a
Musical Family, Grandmother Being a Graduate from Juliard. She was on Warner Brothers and was a Feature with the Horris Height Big Band. She also accomplished being the first Recorded Opera Singer. Later on in Years while in her retirement, Chad took Piano lessons, and attempted voice, but a Southern Slang accent bursted from his young lungs and His Famous Grandmother suggested Guitar, the obvious chioce for a future Country Artist.
Chad was an aspiring Star to be, Music being his true calling, but this would have to wait. Chad was dedicated to Serving his Country with The Rise of the Gulf War. Chad's Service would Distract him for many years to come.
At the age of 17 Chad Enlisted in the US. Army. A welcomed challenge, he
had dreamed of this since he was a young boy.
A Tradition in the Family, Chad's Grandfather Served in Both WWI and WWII, as a Medic then an M.D. Both Chad's Father and his Uncle Served in The Vietnam War. Chad's Brother, in the Lybian Conflict, and Chad and his brother share the Memorable Gulf War.
In 1993 the Music bug was buzzing around, not knowing why but once he heard a "Then New" Garth Brooks, It was like The Call that could not be ignored! So from then on, Chad would sing in every Venue in Town, with every Band, learned Guitar while working, and stayed up to Practice while CMT played his favorites. His original love had found him once again.
When 1995 arrived Chad had formed a Band in Tampa Bay Florida, Honorably Discharged from the Army, turned away every Government and Law Enforcement Job offered and dedicated himself 24/7 to his band and Music.
After forming respected relationships with local Radio, Chad was able to get the "A" list Venues, growing in demand, sometimes playing multipal shows in a day!
The bigger rooms and then Finally, Opening for all the Big Names in 1990's Country. Chad shared the stage with many greats Garth, Chris Ledoux, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Charlie Daniels, Reba, Skynyrd, Hatchett, and many more. Chad has recieved almost every Indi Award known. Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Band of the Year. A Key to the City for Volunteer work and Performances in Cancer and Handicap Benefits. Playing the Angelus with Charlie Daniels. Many articles in the Local Times, Tribune and magazines have been written. A Feature in "Hunky Frontmen of Country." Awarded the Front Page in the Largest Paper in Tampa Bay for The Best Show on the 1997 Crystal River Jam with all Big Name Artists. To this day in some club Venues, Chad holds many attendance records.
The Band grew Stronger, several Record Contracts were offered over the years to Chad, he turned them down out of Loyalty to his band. More CD's were cut, and then a Disney Pleasure Island Performance Contract was signed. Big exposure, and more Openers! Between Southern Rock and Country, Chad was known as the Marathon act from Hell, sets that lasted 2 and 3 hours.... Great Training and Road time, but no deal for the Act.
In 2001 Chad Recorded, wrote and Co-Produced a CD in Nashville called Rockstars and Cowboys. The Cd did very well, but with the current line up, Nashville was not interested still. The Band ended.
Chad Montana left music to regroup and get a vocal break. Montana did appear however in several guest Artist Shows, Opened for more Radio Events, even guest appeared on HSN with Estabon, to endorse the Classic Guitarists own name brand Guitars.
After several years, Chad flew to Nashville, connected with some of his writer and producer buddies and continued the dream... Chad Montana has continued to Record, and Showcase in Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, and as always his Native Home, Florida!
