The American Veterans of the War in Iraq & Afghanistan (A.V.W.I.A.) is a group for veterans...by veterans! My name is Bryan, and I fought in Afghanistan from 2002-2003. I was there until April of 2003, when I got banged up one night during a combat patrol in downtown Kabul. After that, I came home and me and my friends realized how close you feel to other guys (and girls) that fought - even if you've never met them before. Just kind of an amazing bond all combat vets share. Only problem is, how do you know who served and who didn't? Well other organizations have logos and emblems to identify eachother, so we decided that we all desrve one too! That's when we came up with AVWIA (American Veterans of the War in Iraq & Afghanistan)! And we decided to create a line of products - like car decals, license plate frames, t-shirts, etc - to help identify eachother. We printed up a small number, and the reaction we got when wearing the shirts was amazing! People kept saying "Thank you," other combat vets would say hello. The pride that we got from it was amazing! So we're deciding that now it's time for every vet to feel that pride! We're now printing up huge quantities of product, and they're now available online, through our website www.avwia.com ! So, if you served, check us out! We have lot's of cool product available and a free message board for vets only, and a lot of other cool crap to come! And if you didn't serve, stop by and see if there's something you'd like to get a friend or family member that has! What better way to show them how proud you are of them, than by letting them feel that pride!
My Interests
I'd like to meet:
Whether you served or not, or know someone who has or not, "add" us and help us spread our word! The more people that hear about us and visit our site, the more people that get to feel that pride that we do! br
