Music, the simpler life, the ocean, nature, people, children, and pretty much anything that's in front of me
Interesting people for fun, hanging out and good conversations.
a tough category...I'm terrible at keeping track of the bands I like. Typically it's classic rock (late 70's into the 80's), learning to enjoy hip-hop, love classical and instrumental stuff, really dig most music from other cultures. I play guitar and piano and sing--I like a lot of acoustic sounding stuff too.
God, I love Hook and Muppet Treasure Island, was just thinking about Monsters, Inc. this morning, it's been too long since I've seen Ice Age, and I would not be who I am today without The Princess Bride. I just watched Out of Africa--amazing...I started crying half way through and didn't stop for 1/2 an our afterward...maybe it's cuz I've been to Zimbabwe and even if it was 11 years ago, there's just something about the continent that doesn't get out of your system...if you've never been there, you gots ta! Loved Lost in Translation...thought it was really well done...I dig the old war time movies (Fred Astaire) and the older comedies (Cary Grant, etc.)...like some action, typically can't handle the horror flicks, and pretty much need the movies I watch to make me feel like I didn't just waste two hours, but learned something or had something I already knew reaffirmed. If it was a perfect world, though, I'd live in a movie...I'm working on the soundtrak right now ;o)
Is there anything better than a dose of the Cosby Show before work in the morning? How 'bout some Sex in the City? I think I've seen every Star Trek TNG and have gotten into some Law and Order/CSI on occassion. Love Will&Grace (who doesn't?), Frasier, Everybody loves Raymond, Red Dwarf rocks, Black Adder, As Time goes By (just a few of my BBC faves)...and oh so much more...
Wow...such a broad range of great reading out there! I'd rather say who some of my favorite authors are...I really got into CS Lewis in my super-Christian days, then on to George MacDonald...from there I recently enjoyed Cold Sassy Tree, Odor of Sanctity, and am working on Roots right now...not an easy read by any means--I'm taking this one kinda slow.
