Whispered Tales Of The Ohio Valley

About Me

Over the years I've had many paranormal discussions with many people. It's not a subject brought up often but when it is, people are more than eager to share their experiences and tales. I've heard some amazing stories and often thought of writing a book about these local experiences.
As time moved on, I continued my fascination and started researching the area's history and discovered much more than I expected. History that is odd, out of the ordinary and somewhat forgotten, that totally captivated me!
I heard that myspace is read more than any newspaper so I thought what better way to reach out to the Ohio Valley and ask them to share their personal tales of haunts, urban legends, bigfoot, ufo encounters, photos and their knowledge of this fascinating Valley! It is with these submissions and research that I am creating the book "Whispered Tales of the Ohio Valley."
You will read these personal tales. Explore our train tunnels and the horrible crimes that happened in these darkened places. Visit our cemeteries, Indian mounds and more! Did giants once live in the Ohio Valley? Travel back into history and experience what used to be (and may still be) in the very ground we walk on and built our towns on. You'll learn of earlier times, hardships, industrial growth and it's demand for change. Of course there will be ghost stories! Some of the tales are well known to the locals, such as Egypt Valley, Roney's Point and Moundsville's State Pen., others not so well known. Many know the curse of "The Chair." What was really engraved on the chair's seat? You will find out!
You may have noticed that there are some sources which focus on these topics within the states of WV and Ohio. But you may have also notice that very little is mentioned about our area. This is exactly what the book will be about. Our people, our land, our history, our legends and our tales.
Though the book is in progress, I'm always open to hear what you have to share. I'm especially seeking more submitted photos that appear to be paranormal in nature.
Of course your privacy will be respected. And nothing will be published that you do not wish to be published.
If you have any of the above and are in Upper Ohio River Valley area of Ohio or West Virginia, especially Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson and Monroe counties in Ohio or Ohio, Marshall, Brooke and Wetzel counties in West Virginia, please contact me through myspace or email me [email protected]
I'd like to say thank you to all who have submitted their tales, photos and shared their knowledge with me. Thank you to all you wonderful people who have been supportive and patient. I know it's taken much longer than I first expected to finish the book. I'm honored to have met some awesome people in which I've shared in explorations and investigations. I've learned a lot and had a great time as well and I'm happy to call you all friends!
