About Me

!
Formed in 2004, Adrenochrome set out to create a sound that combined elements of funk, dance and rock. Keeping a regular line up initally proved difficult, but the addition of vocalist Phil in July 2005 marked a turning point in the band, and a month later we were ready to play our first gig. We soon progressed from the original blueprint to a heavier sound, with all 5 members of the band playing an active role in the songwriting process. Over the next two years we went on to share stages with the likes of Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and Enter Shikari. May 2006 saw the release of our EP "Underlined And Highlighted", and in July we reached the final of the anual Lock And Load battle of the bands competition, picking up second place. Unfortunately, we found it very hard to follow on from this reasonable success, and the band split in 2007. Writing had been difficult, and the passion seemed to have faded.
Thanks to everyone who helped us, venues, promoters, bands and fans, you were all brilliant.

WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAID ABOUT ADRENOCHROME;
"Adrenochrome are the ones to watch this coming year, my hearts already beating baby" - Claptrap review, August 2005
"Adrenochrome will progress into an inspiring live band..." - Tina West, BBC Gig Reviews, August 2005
"A smooth emo groove given a funky twist. As far fetched as it sounds, you might want to imagine something along the lines of earlier Brand New tainted by the notorious Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Im sure that sounds as interesting as it really is. - Thom, Lock And Load Review, Feb 2006
"If you really want post hardcore here it is in all its glory; confused abstract and not straight forward." - James, Lock And Load Review, June 2006
"Set closer One Way builds to a stunning climax not once, but twice, in a sort of musical equivalent of a multiple orgasm. Those who have made the trip to turn up tonight have witnessed something truly special" - Majere, Lock and Load Review, July 2006 .
