About Me

I'm the type of girl who wakes up every morning and says to herself 'failure is not an option!'. I have been through hell and back in my short 30 years and life has taught me many lessons. The first lesson is to never give up. No matter how hard shit is, or how cruel people can be I always have faith in myself that I can do anything I put my mind to. I realized this the hard way, after doubting myself for years and putting off things that I never dreamed I could achieve, a terrible divorced opened my eyes to who I really was. The second lesson I learned is to stop throwing myself a pity party. I started to look around and realize that there are people out there that have it way worse than me. Shit, I have it good compared to the lives others lead. Third, I dont take for granted anyone who truly means something to me, because one day...I might wake up and they will be gone. Life is about loving, laughter and experience. No matter what I go through I try to take something from it and learn. Ive learned a lot about myself just by putting it all out there. Then I take what I learn and try to apply it to make me a better person. The fourth (and probably the hardest lesson) is the past is the past. No matter how much you look back on cherish memories with people you have loved and who have loved you back, its still the past. Those times are gone...over done with, finito. Theres a reason why the windshield on your car is so big and the rearview mirror is so small. Im not meant to look back as much as I am meant to look forward. Sometimes I hold on too tightly to experiences from the past and hope to relive them, or I expect the feelings from years ago to still be as alive and deeply felt today as they were in the past. Looking back has only caused me anguish and hurt, so Ive learned to put it in its place, call on it when needed but firmly face the future without glimpsing back and hoping to relive a time now gone. I really have learned that life isnt about what you dont have, its about making the best out of what you do have. I decided one day I'd wake up and go after the things I want. I don't give up easily because no one gets very far by quiting. But there also is a lesson in knowing when to walk away. Unfortunately I've had to walk away from people I care about because either they werent what I needed in my life or because I was stupid to think they felt the same. But hey, I think we all have done that. Just gotta brush yourself off and realize that for every dickhead that tosses you aside, there are three people waiting to take their place! To all my friends and family who have stuck by me, I love you more than words, and I will ALWAYS be here for you! Namaste Bitches!

My Interests

I absolutely love to hang out with my friends. I love the summer months, going fishing, hanging out at the lake, intertubing on the Spokane River, going to summer BBQ's, or even sitting by the fire having a few drinks with friends. I'm from Los Angeles so I have a hard time weathering the winter months up here, its almost like I'm allergic to snow, so I don't ski much, but I do take the kids intertubing up on Mt. Spokane periodically. I have a wide variety of interests, if it sounds fun and I'm not likely to die from trying it, I'm usually pretty game. One day I'm going to sky dive, perhaps if I get remarried one day me and the hubby can do that for our honeymoon. I've always wanted to try parasailing too. Surfing is a blast, rollerskating, bowling, one of my favs is kyacking, I absolutely love the beach. Nothing is better than sitting on the beach watching the sun sink into the ocean. Someday I'll move back to CA and have my dream house with the beach as my backyard. I also have an avid interest in the paranormal. I have been paranormal investigating for about 7 years now and recently joined a team called S.P.I.R.I.T. who are located locally in Spokane. So I go on investigations here and there and if you're interest in becoming a team member please shoot me an email. :)

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting all kinds of different people, you just gotta have a good heart and a decent sense of humor. I am not interested in knowing anyone whose two-faced or full of drama. I try to only keep honest, sincere, and decent people around me.

Music:

I don't like just one type of music, I pretty much listen to a variety of stuff. Alternative rock, trance, techno, rave, country, pop, jazz, oldies, classic rock....you name I'm sure I listen to some of it. Some of my favorite groups are Three Doors Down, Pearl Jam, Three Days Grace, Buck Cherry, Godsmack, System of a Down, Nickelback, Seether, Hinder, Incubus, The Doors, Coldplay, Crossfade, Snow Patrol, 30 Seconds From Mars, Metallica, ACDC, Santana, Cradle of Filth, Disturbed, Eagles, Evanescence, Everclear, Enya, Enigma, Fuel, Korn, Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Mudvayne, Primus, Rob Zombie, Silverstein, Slipnot, Stone Sour, Trust Company, Audio Slave and thats all I can think of right now.

Movies:

I love movies and I have recently discovered a love for foreign films. I love movies with depth and social issues, I love romantic movies and of course Hollywood Blockbusters. Anything with action, drama, suspense and a flair for the extraordinary sounds like a good flick to me!

Television:

I love GhostWhisperer, Moonlight, October Road, The First 48, The Investigators, Ghosthunters, Paranormal State, CSI, Cold Case, Without A Trace, Law and Order, TLC, Trauma Life In The E.R., Survivorman, TLC, Discovery channel, and anything that catches my attention! Ok Ok, I even watch the Golden Girls and I Love Lucy!

Books:

I absolutely LOVE to read, lately I've been reading books by Heather Graham. Some of my favorite authors are Robert McCammon, Dean Koontz, Heather Graham, Stephen King, Nora Roberts, John Saul, etc. My favorite book of all time is Swan Song by Robert McCammon and Watchers by Dean Koontz.

Heroes:

My Dad is my hero, he is a man who has been through so much and still manages to get up every morning. I also admire my Sister for losing her only child yet finding a way to pick herself up everyday and keep moving forward. I can only imagine the strength it takes to do that. I admire the military, anyone in EMS for doing one hell of a hectic job, and people who inspire and help create change in a world so desperately in need of it.
