Sound It Out Records

About Me

Sound It Out Records is located on the second floor of the Front Street Commons in downtown Traverse City, Michigan. We carry a wide selection of (mostly) independent music on vinyl and CD. We carry rock, hip hop, punk, metal, hardcore, indie, grindcore, etc etc etc. In addition to new music, we have a large used section (vinyl and CD) of all styles, independent and mainstream. We also carry record players, shirts, stickers, posters, pins, and we're always expanding our inventory. For daily inventory updates and more information, please visit our website at http://www.sounditoutrecords.com
Attention local bands/musicians: If you are interested in having your album(s) in the store we are interested in carrying them. We handle local albums on a consignment basis - we charge a predetermined amount and once the album sells, you get your money and we keep a small amount (usually only a dollar or two). If you are interested in having your album available at Sound it Out please bring in 3-4 copies as well as contact information.
WE BUY CDS AND VINYL! We are always interested in buying CDs and records. CDs must be in excellent condition with no visible scratches and must be in cases with liner notes. We are interested in a wide variety of vinyl records (excluding christmas, classical and country). We offer cash and/or trade, the amount varies depending on the quality and quantity of items traded. We can not give estimates over the phone or via email, we need to see the actual items before making an offer.
Open Monday - Saturday 11-6
Closed Sundays
