M.C. Pyro the Rhymestress

The name Pyro was given to me by a beatboxer/M.C. from Amsterdam who was in a performance group called 4-ISH. I have been performing spoken word poetry locally and, to some extent, nationally for two years almost three. I was on Minnesota's 2006 Quest for the Voice Slam team that competed in the international Brave New Voices poetry slam that was held in NYC. I am also a teaching artist and have tought workshops about Hip-Hop and Spoken Word in my community. I am a very passionate young artist whose goal is to creat social justice through art and bring Hip-Hop culture back to the people where is belongs.
