About Me

It all started sometime in 2001-2002 when sitting in the Carter's living room at around 3 a.m. in full-on boredom mode; we came across a channel that had gone off the air for the night. Appearing on the handy, blue channel guide as "OFF AIR", we all agreed that that would be a cool name for a band, which we had wanted to start for some time then. So we decided to start a band called The Munchies. I mean, OFF AIR...sorry. The band progressed slowly as it wasn't until a couple of years later that any of us started to learn to play an instrument. We planned it perfectly...Robert, Alan, and James all learned to play the guitar. Finally in 2006, after borrowing a friend's drumset, Alan acted on his natural drummness within and learned to play the drums. OFF AIR was officially born. BOOYA! Anyways, for about 6 months the lineup remained Robert on guitar, Andrew with vocals and Alan on the drums. We needed a bassist. BADLY. But we persevered and after attempting to cover several songs, we resorted to writing our own stuff. So for 6 more months, we continued on writing our own songs but still a bassist was nowhere to be seen, heard, found, wounded, etc. Finally in the fall of '07 we did something amazing (and intelligent [which was why it was amazing]). We decided to get a bassist from the one place no one had thought to look: a house of guitarists. The young and talented James Carter became our bassist, and finally Off Air's battlestation was fully operational. Such is the history and glory of OFF AIR.........
Please feel free to leave us some comments with some criticism...good, bad, ugly... we want to hear it all. Or you could just give us a friendly shout. We'd love to meet you and talk with you. We will attempt to try to get an EP out soon, but unfortunatly we are kinda poor, so we will do as much as our wallets allow. We always give out free hugs though!
Thanks for stopping by! Remember to love your wife!
