Platurno

Platurno es una banda chilena de rock progresivo integrada por Felipe Rivera en guitarras, Sebastián Aguayo en teclados y guitarra clásica, Andrés Aguayo en batería y percusión, y recientemente integrado a la banda Rodrigo Valencia en bajo eléctrico. Este proyecto nace en Villa Alemana, Región de Valparaíso, alrededor del año 2001. Originalmente la banda fue formada por Felipe Rivera y el baterista Gerardo Sánchez, pero a pesar de ser una banda bastante joven son muchos los músicos que han pasado por ella (queriendo recordar acá con mucho afecto a nuestro gran amigo, ex bajista y ex vocalista Marcel O'Shee), y ha recorrido un difícil camino hasta encontrar su agrupación final. La banda se auto define bajo el estilo de rock progresivo pero no se encasilla al momento de componer, por lo que la búsqueda de un estilo propio e innovador ha sido una característica importante en el viaje musical de Platurno. Actualmente esta promocionando su primer álbum llamado NUCLEOS editado bajo el sello Mylodon records (www.mylodonrecords.com) y distribuido por Mylodon y Musea records en Europa (www.musearecords.com). La placa cuenta con 11 temas, todos compuestos por los miembros de la banda. Edison Atencio (Bajo eléctrico) y Priscila Valenzuela (violín) participan en el álbum como músicos invitados. Después de una exitosa participación en la versión número XII del prestigioso festival internacional de rock progresivo "BajaProg" realizado en Mexicali, Mexico, Platurno espera para este año la realización de su segundo disco de estudio, el cual se muestra más rockero y avesado rítmica y armónicamente. This project was born in Villa Alemana (Valparaíso region, Chile) with just one desire: Making music. Originally the band was created by Felipe Rivera and Gerardo Sánchez (Drummer) around 2001. But although it’s a quite Young band there are many members which have passed through it (remembering whom we became very fond of us, our great friend, ex bass guitarist and ex vocalist, Marcelo O’Shee) and it has travelled a difficult way until find its final composition (which stay until today). The band auto defines itself under progressive rock style. But it isn’t limiting stylistically itself at composing, reason why the search of an own and innovative style has been a very important characteristic through Platurnos’s musical trip. Presently it is promoting its first album named NUCLEOS, brought out by the record label Mylodon Records (www.mylodonrecords.com) and distributed by Mylodon and Musea Records in Europe. The album counts on 11 music themes, everyone composed by members of the band. Edison Atencio (Electric Bass) and Priscila Valenzuela (Violin) took part in the album as invited musicians. After a successful participation in the version number XII of the prestigious international festival of progressive rock "BajaProg" realized in Mexicali, Mexico, Platurno waits for this year for the accomplishment of his second disc of study, which he proves to be more a rocker and avesado rhythmically and harmonicly.
