The Sock Monkeys

About Me

The Sock Monkeys (formerly The Fine Lines) are the embodiment of live rock and roll. They've been teetering dangerously on the "Fine Line" of nuts and sober since 2004. In that short span of time many hearts have been broken, bar tabs have mounted, but the band has still not rehearsed even once. Even so, their style of pure off-the-cuff rock has materialized into a set list that spans as long as the limosines that they set on fire (which remains hearsay, we'll have you know!). Come out and visit them in their natural habitat as they perform feats of musical skill and the occasional stupid human trick.
You may find yourself asking: "Why are you called 'The Sock Monkeys?'" Believe us, we do that, too. In response to this popular question, we've compiled our top 8 all-time favorite smart-ass answers to that prompt:
1) The first rule of being in The Sock Monkeys is that you don't talk about The Sock Monkeys.
2) Sock Monkeys are cute, cuddly, and innocent; yet you can pose them into a variety of pornographic positions to amuse your friends.
3) Sock Monkeys see all, yet say nothing...
4) The Fines Lines sucked major ass as a band name.
5) You're either for us, or against us. Why do you hate freedom?!
6) Sock Monkeys make excellent drug mules (unlike Kara, our singer, who hates the taste of condoms).
7) Pass the whiskey. I think I'm starting to remember the question again.
8) Who are you to question our existence? Screw you, pal! You're always nay-saying. Jeez!
