I want to start off by saying, music has never been a dream to me, it's a reality for one of the most f**ked up lifes u've ever heard of, my dream has always been to have a family...and my dream came true on Sept. 22nd, 2009, Tabitha, I will love u forever and thank you for everything...Absolute Truth-Definition of a soldier, we find Kevin a fire spittin’ flow master emcee from Detroit, professionally known as Absolute Truth. A 24 year old with an ethnicity of mostly Russian, who use to work in the studio with MC Breed! Naturally gifted, Truth has been songwriting since he knew how to use a pen and paper! While Truth’s influences are his pain, MC Breed, 2 Pac, and Motown, Truth is also self taught on guitar, bass, and piano. Growing up listening to Motown and playing instruments Truth naturally has soul, passion, and a dedication that is sparse in the modern music industry. A modern day soulful Motown artist with a Hip Hop style, Truth is truly original, while he maintains the sex appeal of a pop star! After playing a couple tracks for Dr. Dre, a former friend of Truth got the Dr. Approval, “Truth’s definitely a hot artist with his own sound†And the originality doesn’t end here, Truth is responsible for one of the biggest Hip hop movements Detroit has seen in recent years. The Bullfrog, primarily a rock venue, has emcees lined up to perform there now! Thanks to Truth for starting it all, opening up for an 89X Alternative rock show. 89X is one of the biggest FM stations in Michigan. “I approached the club manager and asked if I could do it, and he said he’d let me give it a try. Now the crowd that night was expecting a punk rock show, I mean I brought some of my fans, but never thought I could make a couple hundred fans so easily!†Truth chuckles, “Especially when they probably haven’t been exposed to hip hop, I’m just glad Detroit took notice and now we have artist like Obie Trice performing here! I feel blessed to of been able to reach out like this and give an opportunity to other emcees as well.†After working with a legend like MC Breed, you can definitely tell Truth is very humble. Business minded Truth has obtained a Degree in Science of Audio Engineering and Music Production, as well as several certifications and has studied with top Producers and Engineers who have platinum credits. Truth owns and operates his own private professional studio and produces and engineers all of his tracks as well! In 2009 Truth founded Step IV Entertainment Incorporated. Within weeks of finding his corporation Truth secured a deal with a major distribution company, MDI Distribution. Truth released one of his singles featuring MC Breed digitally in Febuary. The song quickly become very popular on internet radio and was doing as well as Major Recording artist MJG (also under MDI) and was lighting up ITunes too! Unfortunately, due to illegitimate business practices with certain parties, Truth revoked the record and ended business with MDI. “For me it’s not about the money, it’s never been. The record is hot, I know it’s gonna move, but when a party your evolved with tries to pocket money from a decease mentor and good friend of yours, no amount of money can make me look past that. I want to help out Breed’s kids and I am donating a nice sum to them from these royalties, but it has to be done right.†Truth stated in a recent interview with MC Breed’s former management. Since Truth left MDI, Truth hooked up with the legend himself Spyder D! Not to mention, Spyder was mentored and managed by Russel Simmons himself! Mentored by MC Breed and now Spyder D! Talk about a legend in the making! To top it off, Truth was offered to place his record “Legendary†Feat. MC Breed on MC Breed’s album "Swagg Heavy" due out in 2010. Truth produced, co-wrote, performed on, mixed, and mastered the record. How many can say that about their first Major placement? The answer is ZERO, Truth would be the first to start his own corporation and to place a record as a producer, artist, and engineer all in one! I told you he was mentored by legends!
