About Me

It all stated with crickets... For some unknown reason, the HipHop gods decided in the mid-90's to make Penn State University a meeting place for heads from all points. Two free agent Philly MCs, R-SON the Voice of Reason, (fresh from the original BlackOps with louis logic and the 1shanti) and Ad-Lib (formerly of DNL) had linked up with the man who would come to be known as DJ Double Ayes. He'd created a jazzy beat laced with looped crickets, that became the inspiration for a track called "Nocturnal Emissions". Circumstances beyond the control of all involved kept the beat out of commission. Thanks to the skills of super-producer-in-the-making J.J.Brown, Nocturnal Emissions was finally born into the family of tracks that would live on the R-SON EP "Words of Art"."Words of Art" was only the beginning. From Nocturnal and it's sequel "Morning Would", The Flight Brothers were born. College graduations and relocations back to Philly and NY (for JJ Brown) led to countless shows throughout the Philly underground. A chance meeting with Double Ayes eventually led to the completion and release of the album "The Aaron and Wayne Revue", a compilation of R-SON and Ad-Liberal solo tracks, as well as brand new Flight Brothers material.9to5's and famliy lives had delayed the release of new material, but the time has come for the return to the studio and the creation of the as-yet-untitled follow up album, featuring the single "Build and Destroy" w/The Last Emperor.
