.. ..In the beginning of 2006 Alex (True Rebel Rec.) conviced his friend Timo (drums/Small Town Riot), to start a little solo-project, with the idea to produce a soundtrack
for a short horror-movie-clip.
The outcome was a one-man-band called HIGHSCHOOL NIGHTMARE followed
by a 4-song-7â€inch (“Santa Cryptâ€). Unfortunately Timo couldn’t perform any songs on
stage alone, that’s why he asked Ritchy (guitar/ the VARANES, ex. Antikörper) and Benny (drums/ ex.frank drinks milk) to join his “bandâ€. In 2007, after a short break they picked up practising again and started to work on new songs for quite a few shows at local venues. Not least because of having a lot of fun playing together they finally decided to take the whole project more serious to be a real band with it’s own songs and to create a new kind of punkrock-sound. And now, almost 3 years later, we’re very proud to present you their debut-album “NIGHTMARE HIGHâ€. A record full of pure energy, attitude, catchy melodies and fresh ideas.
Highschool Nightmare - die Legende besagt, das Trio sei lediglich
durch Zufall entstanden: Neulich beim Zusammenflicken kleiner
Tierknöchelchen zu schaurigen Figuren um daraus Protagonisten für
einen Splatterfilm-Kracher auf höchstem Niveau zu erstellen, fehlte
der Soundtrack. Kurzerhand ein paar Stücke geschrieben, aufgenommen,
flugs eine 7'' Platte auf True-Rebel-Records veröffentlicht, noch ein EuropaTour Angebot ausgeschlagen
und da war sie die Horrorpunk Geisterband.Da sich bereits nach dem zweiten Konzert schon zwei Labels für den Longplayer bewarben
kommt das Album Anfang 2009 bei True Rebel Records und Puke Music raus.
