Delta/Piedmont-style guitarist/singer/songwriter/teacher living in Voss, Norway. Growing up in Ulvik, I started playing guitar at fourteen. My main influence was punk rock, especially the Clash. At sixteen I bought my first bluesrecord, a Howlin Wolf-collection and I was sold! That strange, groovin sound and that powerful voice just knocked me out! Later I started listening to older stuff like Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson, Leadbelly, Mississippi John Hurt and tried to copy their fast, swingin fingerpicking and jumpin groove.During the last seven years I..ve been playing that kind of blues, mainly in the western part of Norway, at bluesclubs and festivals, sometimes with bands, or in duos with harmonica-player Eirik Bergene or hardinfiddle-player Arne Anderdal (Check out "Devils waltz"!)At the time I..ve started recording my third album, this time using my own songs only, trying to develop a personal picking, stomping and howling style.
