My main interest at the moment is martial arts, i have been studing Tang Soo Do (Korean Karate) since may 2006 and am hopelessly addicted to my training. I dedicate a lot of time, energy and money towards pursuing 'my' art. To me its one of my lifelong ambitions and i embody that ambition everytime i step into the dojang (training hall). We work hard but play hard too (check out the pics) and i have no doubt whatsoever that in a few years i will earn my 'dan' grade and hopefully become a teacher myself, to carry on the cycle so to speak. There are so few traditional martial arts out there that i feel it my duty to teach others the way we are taught, to carry forward some of the old ways.My other passion is the outdoors, I am borderline obsessed by learning about bushcraft and survival. I have a very healthy collection of books and DVDs on the matter and study them religiously, in the spring/summer all i think about is getting back up onto dartmoor, or down to the beach/dunes. i spend a lot of money on new kit and have a LOT of it ! To me the outdoors is an escape from realitly, nothing else matters when you are in the middle of nowhere except having food, water and a shelter. It also gives you the chance to live-out your boyhood fantasies, such as making a 'camp', building shelters, sorting out a good fire, getting some food on the go and just generally having a few beers and a good laugh with friends. It also gives ME the chance to test my navigational skills (map & compass, no GPS for me !), and my other love which is shooting. I have pretty much grown up with a gun in my hand of somesorts, mainly air rifles/pistols. Again i study shooting and the general psysics involved to a fault, have a large collection of replic rifles and pistols, and a couple of air rifles/pistols. I consider myself to be a damn good shot : )
