I am here for Friends

About Me

I am left-handed. My blood type is AB positive. I was named after the actress who played Ginger on Gilligan's Island (yes, really). I am the proud owner of a Chia Pet, although it's still in the box, and has been so for about 10 years. At least three different people have said that I remind them of Catwoman. Well, two people said I remind them of Catwoman, and one said Eartha Kitt.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I saw snow for the first time at age 28.
I am biracial--I am African American and German American. I also have some Native American ancestors, as well as countless ancestors from other unknown origins.

I believe in being completely honest in all dealings. I do not believe in telling white lies or embellishing on the truth. I believe that dishonesty is, almost always, caused by fear of the opinions of others, and I feel its important to choose not to live one's life in fear. I have not always lived by this creed, but I can now say that I am honest about 99% percent of the time. I'm not saying this to suggest that I am better than anyone, because I have plenty of flaws.

I'm generally easy-going. I believe in picking your battles. I believe that hotheadedness and shouting are disrespectful. I can crack a good corny pun when needed. I'm quiet in person but long-winded in print. I am all those Aquarius traits, regardless of whether you believe in that sort of thing. I believe that people are generally more alike than they are different. I'm not particularly judgmental, and I like people from all walks of life--even some republicans :) I'm actually related to a few by marriage now--go figure.

I like those who are artists and/or misfits at heart. I like nerdy girls and nervous, quirky guys. And most everyone else, too.

I apologize to anyone who is disappointed in me for taking this "About Me" thing seriously enough to write a logical, prosaic answer instead of a cynical, puzzling nonsequitur. For those people, I say to re-read the first paragraph: it's rather disjointed and non-sequitur-esque.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Long-winded, thoughtful people, short-spoken grunting types, gazers, hand-gesturing communicators, yawners, sighers, guffawers, and you. Why not you? If you want to say hello, you'll do so regardless of whether or not you fit any description I might type into this this box. And well you should.

Your results:
You are Superman Superman 70% The Flash 60% Wonder Woman 57% Robin 57% Batman 55% Supergirl 52% Spider-Man 50% Hulk 45% Green Lantern 35% Catwoman 25% Iron Man 20% You are mild-mannered, good,
strong and you love to help others.

Ahmadinejad on Gays in Iran

"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like you do in your country. In Iran, we do not have this phenomenon. I do not know who has told you that we have it." He can't really believe that, right?
