I started making a buck or two in music in 1965 with a group called "The Youngmen" from Santa Ana, California. We signed to DJ Sam Riddle and became regulars on his TV show "Boss City". We recorded the theme song for the show as well. We had the priveledge to perform with some of the greats of the time. The Buffalo Springfield, The Temptations, The Four Seasons, The Who and countless others. We were signed to A&M. Vini Turturro and I then formed a horn band called "Churchill" and we did a couple albums for MGM. I did a year or so with a great show band called "Start Naked & The Car Thiefs". We toured the midwest and faded into the sunset. My next few offerings were "Saga", "Paradise & Lunch" and "The Exploding Pinto's". I then formed the Bob Gulley Band and started writing and making sense of it all. I met up with an old neighbor of mine, Bill Medley and started performing at a club he put together called "The Hop". Also during that time I went out on the road with Bill and did "Alabama's" Roll On Tour. About that time 1989 or so I signed a deal with Curb records with Medley as producer. After that seemed to go nowhere I decided to take a gig producing and staring in a Branson Mo. show called "Bob Gulley at The Hop show. Did that for the 1995 season. My show was nominated for the best new show that year and I won the Best Male Newcomer award as well. My wife Peggy Sue and our four kids beat it back to Topock Arizona where we still call home. With a few pit stops in Steamboat Springs Colorado and Big Bear California we still managed to call Topock home. This is a small town of 2000 people on the Colorado River near Laughlin, Nv. Oh yeah, I started working the casinos there and havn't looked back for awhile. I have a nice studio out back and my passion for writing has gone full bloom. I still love singing, playing guitar and entertaining . I perform every summer in Twin Lakes California three or four weekends during the summer and travel to Big Bear to play at my buddys club, Nottinghams. I mostly perform as a single but do get a chance to gig with steller players quit often. I thank God daily for all things and thank Wayne Dyer for a new lease on life as well. Take care, Bob
