My name is Nik Kenney and I am a student at Cascades Job Corps. I am currently going through the Culinary program and whatnot. Damn, this seems too formal... lol!Ok, so, for those who don't know me, I am pretty much a quiet guy. Not necessarily shy, just quiet. I am a deep thinker and am always thinking into the future, which makes me a good planner but I am not very quick witted like most others. I like people who accept me for who I am and how I act. If they can't, then I consider them fake or selfish when they want to change me or become friends with me for the sake of wanting just another statistic on their popularity sheet.Despite being quiet, I am very open and will carry on a conversation that is brought up with me. I am a firm believer in trust. If someone tells me anything personal... even a stranger... it will remain between the two of us. If anyone breaks their trust with me, all connections on a personal level will pretty much shut down between that person and I. I always test my friends early on when I meet them. I will bait them with something kind of personal and see what they do with it. This is how I see whether or not that person can earn my trust. Anyone in my top friends (and a lot beyond that) have displayed that they are people that I can trust.I like to go places with my friends. Thats when I am most talkative, because everyone is then on the same level as me. When stuck in a place with people that have had past experiences with each other or similar experiences, then I feel kinda of shut out to the conversation, since I cannot relate to most others. On a trip, I can relate, because if it's a place we've visited before, then I've shared an experience... or when we go somewhere new, we both are building an experience! I've led a boxed in life for the most part. I'm clean of most things (except for the rare cigarette and even rarer alcohol.) I've been caged into my home with nothing to do, no ability to go anywhere, and the people I would hang out with had nothing to do as well.I am a very selfless person and will do anything for a friend. Near the end of my high school days in LSHS, I held a Seattle Trip with a group of my friends. It is something special to see all of ones friends come together and bond for a day and all of them have fun together. Each and every person that I took on my Seattle Trip I am sure has the memories burned in their mind. My second Seattle Trip I had got out of control with the amount of people and cost quite the penny. But despite that, I had pretty good control over everything the whole day until at the end when people had to leave. I would have to say that doing those 2 Seattle trips was worth every penny. Unfortunately, it takes many pennies to do a Seattle Trip and I won't be holding another for sometime... especially until after my Disney World trip with a select few of my most trusted friends.I need to touch on a few things as far as my top friends go.Lorne is my best friend and we will talk about pretty much anything with each other and help each other out with any problems. I would have to say that he has helped me find a way out of my prison by introducing me to Job Corps. My life felt very isolated and pointless until that point. Now I have a lot of potential and many opportunities opened up to me. If I had never had introduced Lorne to 4orthcoming due to his interest in rock music... then I probably would never have gotten to know him as well. If I had never gotten to know him as well, I would not have heard of or gone to Job Corps.Andrew has helped me a lot during my isolation and is a very cool person. We share almost the exact same interests, but we are on opposite ends of the country. I have never met him, but we talk over the web cam on MSN messenger a lot. Hopefully I can meet him in person one of these days, but it all depends on where life takes us.Cole also was a good friend to have during my isolation. He is my neighbor and the closest person I could visit without having to practically beg or follow my grandpas work schedule to visit. The most retarded thing was how I was still limited when going to visit him. "Come back in an hour." I hated that...Eric!!!!!! Eric is a very close friend and I have known him since Middle School. It is kind of interesting how things work on how I met him. If I had not met Dylan (where the hell did he vanish off too?) then, I would have never met Rick (same with rick... where'd he go?). If I had never met Rick, then I would have never been introduced to Eric. Eric is a very cool person and shares a lot of values that I have. Whenever we were bored (which was most of the time) We'd both try and work around the boredom and find something to do. One thing that helped us stay entertained and be productive in a way was making MMORPG's. A very fun person to hang out with and it is always fun to see him and the rest of the band 4orthcoming play.Serena is the anti-boredom friend. When at home, there is absolutely nothing to do. So, I get on MSN and we talk... a lot... We have a lot of the same interests, so we can relate on some levels. She has horrible typing, but after typing with her for a year, I can understand even the most horrible of sentence mutilations. I am surprised at how we've typed around almost 20 MB worth of text in the past 6 months!For those of you wondering why you weren't mentioned, it's because I decided not to include family in the description list (you all know how I feel about you all!) and also because as much as I would like to type about every one of my friends, I would not have enough room to do so. So I stuck with my top 8. (or 5 in this case.)On a closing note, I would like to say that everyone has made a positive impact on my life in someway and I hope I've left a positive one in yours. Anything... and I mean ANYTHING you guys need, I am here and will do everything in my power to help with whatever it is!
