I have been playing music for as long as I can remember. . . .and simply put, I love it. For a long time, however, I let the negativity of others scare me away from making a career out of music. The only voices I ever heard were those telling me I can't, and so I would always get sidetracked by chosing backup plans in case I didn't succeed in music. What I didn't realize was how that very thinking was exactly what was holding me back. When you chose a backup plan instead of your dream, you are telling yourself that you don't really believe you will succeed. I had to get the to the point where I was absolutely positive that music was the only thing I could see myself doing and once I got there, I knew I had to cut out all backup plans. Having set music as my only passion and goal, my mind now has no choice but to succeed.
