Circa Burlesque is made up of a core of permanent members and a fabulous selection of specialty performers. All of which are highly trained within their specific field, and are also multi talented, all of our Burlesque beauties are trained in dance, singing, acting, fire eating, body burning, snake handling, and live body piercing. Most of our girls stilt walk, perform trapeze or other aerial apparatus, one of our lovely ladies is an accomplished tight wire artist another is concert trained pianist. All our performers are fully trained and have between 3 – 10 years experience of live performance, many of them have already made a name for themselves in the Burlesque, Art, and other performance circles. We have personal fire, aerial, circus skills, tango, and belly dance instructors to keep us at the top of our game.

Concept ideas come directly from the performers of Circa Burlesque, all props and bespoke costumes are created by or exclusively for Circa Burlesque, so originality is always maintained. Some of our shows contain partial nudity or work on the implication of being in the nude (fan dance for example). Boston or child friendly versions of our costumes are available upon request.

We are used to organizing large shows and are often the only performers needed for a full evenings entertainment. We supply our own rigger and stage crew (where required), camera operatives can also be hired from us if you have projectors at your venue, all crew members dress in attire appropriate to your event all the time it’s open to the public.

Feather Flinging Fun

Stage show, Optional Walkabout and Singing Compare. Available with or without aerial and tight wire.

Classic 1940’s burlesque style variety show, with a bit of a twist and brightly coloured corseted costumes. Begins with our signature piece the ‘Feather Fling’ which sees 4,6, or 8 girls, with shrinking feather bustles, as they dance in time to a complex routine using up to 40 feather boas as dance props. Then a choice of individual burlesque routines follow, which can include tight wire, ‘candy girl’, fan dance, tongue lifting, magic, poi with tassel twirling, trapeze, tap, ballet, angle grinding and more. Topped off with our Feather Finger Finale. Our packages can also be priced to include Our Beautiful Ukelaele playing singing Compare Lady Carol of the moon, meet and greet stilt girl(s) and Ballerina fairy, to welcome your guests.

Recommendation: Cabaret evenings, cocktail parties, corporate events, launch parties, television work. Number of Performers: 4, 6, or 8 dancers with optional Compare.

Romantica

Stage show, Burlesque performance, with a little circus, freak and a lot of glamour, with Aerial, Tight wire, Walkabout and Live piano numbers. Available without aerial for a reduced fee, a piano can be arranged for an additional transport fee for venues that do not have one.

Let us introduce you, via our tap dancing drag King, Princess Cherry Blossom adding the comedy to the evening, to the world of Romantica, Show girls on stilts welcoming your guests, Lydia Darling and Bluebelle Bombchelle, cast out tiny red hearts while perched upon trapezes While Fan dancers float across the stage as our very own balancing beauty Dizzy O’Dare, effortlessly performs her tricks atop her tight wire. Chrys Columbine plays the piano and sings, in her Jessica rabbit tribute, the rest of the troupe accompany her, wearing beautifully bejewelled red costumes and big heart shape fans, while Lydia Darling performs her trapeze routine. Little Bo Freak bleeds from the heart as she removes roses from her skin in ‘Honeysuckle Rose’ a tasteful trio freak show number. A spectacular aerial hoop number can be hired to headline the performance (subject to availability).

Harem Harlots

Exotic themed stage show with snakes fire + Walkabout and crowd interaction.

Colourful harem girls on stilts, lead you in, a tarot reader offers to tell your fortune. On the stage a girl is carried on by the mysterious harem girls dressed in black and silver, the Princess emerges from beneath a veil then another and so on, as the harem girls unveil her, and break out into a beautiful belly dance number. In ‘Snake Sirens’ four-girls with snakes undulate around the stage in harmony (also available as walkabout), the flexible and talented Amulet performs her gravity defying, sword-balancing act. The culmination of this show is a mesmerising, body burning and fire-eating finale. This act can be expanded to include aerial silks or hoop.

Recommendation: Exotic themed events, launch parties, cabaret evenings, cocktail parties, corporate events, festivals, club openings Music videos. Number of performers: 6 – 10 girls. Running Time: 30mins + walkabout.

Festivale

Festival style, stage and walkabout performance, and crowd interaction.

Festivale brings you a surreal cartoon world of nostalgia with stilted mushrooms, and fairies making balloon animals and blowing bubbles. We create a grassy hillock on your stage, Eve opens the act with her apple and snake, Chrys Columbine’s woodland dryads dance with glittery green palm shaped fans, then emerges the beautiful Lydia Darling as the peacock in this comically exquisite Fan dance, Princess Angelique as the diamonte encrusted swan, and Dizzy O'Dare as our bird of paradise perched atop her tight wire. Slinky Sparkles ‘bear’ fan dance with roadkill fans adds yet more comedy to the show. Honeybees cover her in glittery honey, followed by two fire tigers flaming claws. Also available as 2 part walkabout instead of stage show, or additional fairytale walkabout characters, can be requested with this show.
