About Me
Splitcycle started back in 2000 when a younger, skinnier BP walked into a local music shop and spotted an interesting flyer. It read "drummer looking for band, real metal, no pussy shit". BP met with this drummer, CP, and within a couple of days Splitcycle was up and running. The band went to work writing songs with vocalist Donny M and bassist Dan H. Shortly after, Splitcycle played their first show on May 25, 2000. A four song demo was soon to follow. After quite a few shows, Donny decided to do the family thing and Dan disappeared. No problem, within hours, long time CP associate Chris Breeding took over vocals and Mark Q picked up the bass. After writing many more songs, in 2001, Splitcycle released a 6 song demo. Plenty of shows followed including a spot at the 2001 Milwaukee Metal Fest. Sadly, in late 2001, Chris Breeding left the band to do the family thing. No problem. BP took over vocal duties, Mark Q moved to rhythmn guitar, and ol' Dan H returned to play the bass. In mid-2002, Splitcycle released a 10 song disc. Plenty of shows were played following the release. After a while, everyone took a break. CP went to fill in with another local band and BP would soon follow. Mark Q wept. Dan H played Halo. Finally in mid 2004, BP, CP, Mark and Dan started writing songs yet again. Alot of intense music was starting to take form, when suddenly, after a show, Dan H disappeared yet again. The Gooch would join to play the bass for a while as yet more songs were written. Shortly after that, Mark Q went to school, BP and CP wrote and recorded alot of material and put the songs on the back burner. They formed Zero Trigger and have been waiting for the free time to start getting out alot of Splitcycle music that no-one has even heard. So look for alot of songs to starting hitting the net in the near future. No plans have been made to get Splitcycle back on stage, but the music will continue to fill this page for all of their old-school fans that used to rock at every single show they ever had. Stay tuned.....
