DJ Kryptonite
Hi, my name is Mark AKA (DJ Kryptonite). Let’s see, what can I tell you about myself. Well, I'm very outgoing and love meeting new people. I can get a lil crazy at times and I'm usually up for just about anything. I have been a nightclub DJ for about 10 years and it's been so much fun. It's great when you have a packed floor moving to your set. It's a great feeling, plus it's the perfect way to meet lots of new people. I used to spin Hard House, Vocal House, Trance, Booty House, and Jungle when I first came on the scene. Over time the party scene fell out so I adapted into spinning Hip Hop, Reggae, Latin, Reggaeton, and Booty, but my mix style still has it's roots in techno. I've been the resident DJ at alot of different clubs through the years plus I've done a bunch of guest spots, college parties, car shows and even had some of my remixes on the radio.
I also started a small independent record label called K Recordz which I use to put out my mix tapes and my boy King Coppershot's Dancehall mix tapes.
Even though I love partying and DJing, it's not my career. I started DJing to help put myself through college for Electronics Engineering. I took a job as an Electronics Engineer for the Department of Defense and since then have been promoted to a position that allows me to travel all over the country and the world. Because of my career, I don't get to spin as much as I used to but it's well worth it. I love what I do.I also love customizing cars and have been doing things like custom fiberglass work, interiors, audio/video systems, lowering, etc. for years now. I've had a Customized Grand Prix STE Turbo, Then an Explorer done up for sound, a Body Dropped 1998 F-150, a Juiced 1987 Astro Van, a Bagged 1993 Astro Van, an AWD 1998 Astro dropped on 20's and kitted up, and currently own a Black 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with custom built 22" rims, full custom front end, suede interior, a hand made bodykit that I built myself, TV's, touchscreen computer with internet, and lots more. I also own a 2002 Hyundai Accent thats my beater for commuting back and forth to work but I hooked that up to with custom two-tone leather interior, rims, suspension, stereo, and more. I'm currently helping my girl trick out her BMW that is going to be off the wall for next show season.I'm also the Vice President of Kiddie Rydes Car Club, NEPA's Premier Lowrider Club since 1994. We throw a big car show every October called Droptoberfest (www.Droptoberfest.com) which has been a bigger and bigger success with each year.Besides traveling for the Government, I also love to travel in my free time. I have allot of friends in NYC and take weekend trips into the city to party and shop all the time, I take off to Florida to visit friends once or twice a year, I go to see my sis in North Carolina a few times a year, and make lots of trips to the beach during the summer. I'm pretty spontaneous and will just wake up one Saturday, see it's nice out, and pack a bag and leave for the weekend. I'm always trying to find people to take off out of the area with me, but most my friends need more notice then I give them. I'm glad I have my girl Julie who is always up for a road trip. I also travel around to the different car shows all season long. I am definitely more of a Summer person that anything else. I love warm weather and the beach. I hope to eventually transfer to Kennedy Space Center to work for NASA and relocate to Florida permanently. I'll have to see what I can pull off in the future. Well that should cover my "about me" section. Feel free to post comments to me.....Later
