Kenneth Charles Blume the 3rd, better known as Kenny Beats, is an American producer, musician, and student born and raised in the southern Connecticut town of Greenwich. Though his affluent surroundings might be more commonly associated with it’s celebrity residents than musical output, Kenny is looking to redefine the stereotype; literally.Though he has studied music seriously since age 9, Kenny began producing instrumentals his sophomore year in 2006. Kenny did not take his production seriously until he placed in a nationwide electronic music competition in May of 2008. Since then Kenny has been perfecting his music, and was accepted to Berklee College of Music which he will attend next fall. Currently, Kenny is interning in the A&R deptarment of R.C.A records.Kenny Beats’ sound is clean cut and pattern oriented, though often mixed with unlikely samples or live instrumentation. His sound has proved a favorite for many artists and fans alike, and in 2009 there are definitely some surprises to come.
