Life should be uncomplicated...

About Me

I love two things in life: my friends and my music. Tenor & pianist for life , Tri/biathlete for fun (6 triathlons, 11 biathlons under my belt). Spend most of my time rehearsing, working out or with my nose in a book. Enjoy anything that keeps me active and around the people I love. I don't really know what or how to write about myself, so just ask and I'll do my best to answer. I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to say with this photograph...Art, maybe? Me screwing around at the piano (didn't realize it was recording), at the end after standing up, I think I've pressed the record button to start so I sit back down and play the cadenza...reaaaally well, only after I went back upstairs with my computer did I realize what I had done!

My Interests

Helping people, helping animals, listening to live music, attending lectures/classes, triathlons, biathlons, running, swimming and resistence training. Kettlebells (fuck yeah, still won't forget the first time I picked one of those SOBs up!), skiing, snowshoeing. urban-climbing , St. John Valley, American Wagner Assoc., University of Maine (my home away from home), exploring the city.

I'd like to meet:

People who can tough the tough and rough the rough...

.

Music:

Bach before everything, Wagner (The Ring Cycle & Tristan und Isolde especially), Beethoven (Fidelio), Verdi (Everything!), Puccini (Everything!), Vassiliades, Mozart (Obviously, everything!). Brahms, Wolf, Schumann, Schubert, Alkan, Liszt, Sauer, Scharwenka, Stojowski and who could forget Rachmaninov. Prokofiev is definitely this year's favorite. Maria Callas in interview from the early seventies.

Movies:

L. of Arabia, Masada, Stanley Kubrick as a director and Lynch as well. B. Velvet and Dune. Lolita for Kubrick as well as Dr. Strangelove. Favorite movie of all time is the 90s Danny Glover/Martin Short film "Pure Luck". No matter how many times I watch it...just gets me everytime! (Thank you CV for giving me the love of film!)

Books:

(call me a sap) Clive Cussler...I don't know why...the man is a god. I've read them all...Dirk Pitt, Kurt Austen, Al Giordano, Sandecker...you name it, I love all the characters.
