Kontrol started out as a small side project for bassist and programmer Jake Neal in mid 2005. He had made two EPs by himself since then titled "Kontrol EP" and "Bio-Hazard EP". During those two EPs, he had his brother Jess Neal record the guitar work for for all the tracks while he stuck to vocals, synth and bass. By August 2008, while attending college, he ran into the now current drummer Ed Reid and discussed about turning Kontrol into a full time project. Ed also mentioned about getting Kevin, a local guitarist into joining the band who is now currently an official member along with Jess. While the four wrote music and attended college, they ran into keyboardist Speedy, who has helped write parts for the latest material. The newest member is vocalist James Curtis, who is now an official member of the band and has been with us since the recording sessions for "Bells Of Despair". As of now, Kontrol is currently recording and writing new material for the upcoming EP titled "Stigma".
