Hi,je suis Lee and for six months of the year i live in the party town of Bournemouth pretty much rent free at my parents gaff !!
I started dj'ing quite late, at the age of 18 when I got my first set of decks for my 18th birthday. It was something that I had wanted to do for years but I was always to busy playing football, plus I never really had the money to do it. After hours and hours of doing my parents heads right in for about a year I got my first residency which was a commercial house warm up set at a club called the Venue in Poole which was about a 2,000 capacity club. This place was crazy and I couldn't believe my luck at just 19 years old I was given a fridge full of Budweisers every night! That soon stopped! This then shut down and I went on to a residency at Elements nightclub in Bournemouth playing Hip Hop. During this time I inherited a few other residencies and played a few dance festivals
up until April 2004.
In April I was offered a residency playing Hip Hop in a bar in Ayia Napa with my mate and drum n bass dj, dj judda. We stayed out there for the summer playing in the three bars that my bosses owned and also in Castle Club. I grew up with Judda messing about on his sisters boyfriends decks, scratching the fuck out of all his records! Sorry Nik. I returned from Napa and played in clubs in Bournemouth such as Elements, K1, The Old Firestation, DNA and Dusk til Dawn, to name a few. Then in July 2005 I was off out to Magaluf to dj.
At first I was dj'ing in BCM Beach and Sports playing all types of music, then landed a guest night in BCM playing Hip Hop and the rest as they say is history. To be able to dj in BCM with some of the dj's I grew up listening to has been amazing. Im back out there for my third season this year and hope carry on with what I've been doing there for the past couple of years.
In the 5 years I have been dj'ing I have played all music genres from trance to garage, drum n bass (a bit) to rnb and then back to house. I am now mainly trying to concentrate on house (electro, funky, everything!) But still love playing Hip Hop when I get the opportunity. Returning in October I hope to work a little more around the UK because when I return I mainly play in Bournemouth so keep an eye out! Peace!
