Anabel Wind , the Israeli singer , now residing in the beautiful BC , was creating, singing and teaching in Vancouver for 3 years and moved to Victoria BC , ןn the beginning of 2009. In her singing you could find elements of various styles, such as a variety of jazz genres,scat singing, ethnic music, blues and European influences, all that without neglecting the message each song is carrying. people in the audience find themselves enchanted by the precise amount of the unique sound of her voice, her technique and her skills as a performer. She is a graduate of the "Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance" in Jerusalem and has frequently worked with leading Israeli jazz artists and music groups. Among the artists she has worked,recorded and performed with, are Mr. Steve Christofferson, Maestro Lache Cercel, Mr. Amikam Kimelman , the conductors: Mr. Yaron Gottfrid (and the Israeli Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra), Mr. Eli Benacot (and "The Jazz Pipes" Big-Band) , Mr. Ofer Portugaly's Jazz quartet and the Portugaly's Gospel choir (Ft. as a guest vocalist),Mr. Yossi Levi,to name a few. She had performed in leading Israeli jazz clubs as well as being involved with some TV productions and witting material for herself and for other singers. Anabel-Inbal (which means "Bell" in Hebrew , her native tongue) takes part in various music projects both in Israel and Canada, and performes regularly with several groups; amongst others , Monday nights at the hot-spot "Kino Cafe" on Cambie, "Latin Quarter" on Commercial (as a guest artist) , a funky-fusion band in Israel. In addition to her work as a performing musician Anabel is also being active as an artist educator, worked with "LTTA - Learning Through The Arts" - Vancouver Branch, Canadian organization, supported by the RCM-Royal Conservatory of Music as well as being a music educator, teaching voice, theory , jazz improvisation and group workshops in her studio,as well as at UBC's mini-school (for adults), and in several Music schools all around Vancouver and the near-by cities.
